Earlier this summer, we were delighted to be confirmed as a Plastic Free Ally by Prestwich Environmental Forum
We've signed a pledge to show our commitment to reducing our use of plastic and to helping to promote the plastic-free cause and environmental issues in our work.
We're working hard to minimise the use of single-use plastics in our operations, and choose sustainable alternatives wherever possible. We're also passionate about celebrating our local area, and the steps we’ve taken to encourage sustainability in Prestwich include:
exploring recycling options for arts festival’s banners and other promotional materials
organising accessible events at our annual festival which encourage Prestwich residents to get outside and enjoy civic facilities and local green spaces
supporting the #PlasticFreePrestwich initiative on social media
running this year's Home is Where the Art is community art trail jointly with Prestwich Environmental Forum with a green theme
