The Prestwich Arts Festival murals
Beginning in 2018 with a portrait of The Fall's Mark E Smith, followed swiftly by local legend Victoria Wood in 2019, and our biggest piece featuring Prestwich past and present in 2021, we're delighted to bring mural number 4 to Prestwich in 2025!
The Prestwich Arts Festival murals have become firm favourites with locals and visitors alike and are bringing the streets of Prestwich to life. We've even featured in The Guardian and Pitchfork!
The portraits of Mark E Smith and Victoria Wood are by friend of the festival Akse P-19, the Prestwich past and present mural is by street artists kELzO and Evan Barlow and our most recent mural 'On Our Way' is by Oskar with a K and Tracey Cartledge, with input from the members of Creative Living Centre and support from Transport for Greater Manchester and Keolis Amey.

You can find the Mark E Smith mural on the side of the award winning local chippy, Chips @No.8. Victoria Wood is on the side of Sword and Sparrow Tattoo, Bury Old Road. kELzO's Prestwich mural is on the side of Prestwich News Agents on Poppythorn Lane. On Our Way is at the entrace to Prestwich Metrolink station.
