Friendship Circle take part in community art trail

We've been overwhelmed by the number of fantastic people, businesses, charities and groups that have signed up to be part of this year's Home is Where the Art is community art

trail. The Friendship Circle in Sedgley is one group that will be showing their artwork from next week.

The Friendship Circle is a charity dedicated to helping people with disabilities make friends and integrate into the community through a range of social and recreational activities that help people gain skills and confidence at the same time as making new friends. They also work to change perceptions towards people with disabilities especially through education.

Every Monday the Friendship Circle holds an art club for members at their hub in Sedgley. It’s a chance for members to socialise and relax in a warm, welcoming and friendly environment, whilst working together on art projects such as clay modelling, painting, collage drawing and so much more.

The Friendship Circle will be displaying art created by their art club members as part of Home is Where the Art Is. From Sunday 22nd – Sunday 29th September there will be art displayed in the window and if open, people can pop in and see what we have inside too. In addition to this, on Monday 23rd the art club will be open for anyone who would like to come in as part of the Prestwich Arts Festival from 7:15-8:15pm.

Thank you The Friendship Circle! We think your creations look wonderful!
