As part of our Art in the Park event on Saturday 28 September we need you, the families, friends, neighbours and community of Prestwich to come together to help create a very special public art installation using origami.
Anyone can contribute to the installation through origami drop in sessions on the day of the event but we are also inviting you to make your own origami entries ahead of the event by following the video below. We are asking if possible for you to use recycled paper from around the home, but don't worry we will have plenty of materials for you to use on the day.
During Art in the Park we will use your creative pieces to decorate St Mary's Flower garden in to a peaceful and beautiful origami garden. We also invite you to add some seeds in to your piece, along with a message to your neighbours of Prestwich. We will then ask people to exchange their artwork with someone else and take the seed from the origami and plant them in your own garden, flower pots, window boxes or hanging baskets at home.
