Do you know which church's parish hall in Prestwich appeared on the sleeve of classic 1980 Fall single ‘How I wrote Elastic Man’? Or which local pub features in the video for 'Wings'? Join The Fall fan Rob Carroll on a walking tour of The Fall's Prestwich to find out the answers. The tour will take in the sights and sounds of Mark E Smith's town and explain how he often wrote about the people and places right on his doorstep. We'll also be stopping off for some refreshments in a few of Mark's most important venues: pubs.
Meeting point: Prestwich tram stop. End point: Stanley Street, Cheetham Hill, but everyone's encouraged to return to Prestwich with the tour guide after the tour is finished. Please note tour participants will need to buy a tram ticket from Heaton Park to Queen's Road to complete the tour.
