About the event
A special night of music for Prestwich Arts Festival from a local lineup of talented musicians:
First act is Paolo Fuschi. The half Sicilian half Manc guitarist of the super funk Manchester outfit Buffalo Brothers, the Soulful Martin Connor Band and Walklate & Fuschi Electric Blues Duo. Fuschi’s live set is called 'Life’s Alright' and it is an eclectic mix of originals that feature both the English and the Italian language. paolofuschi.com
Next up is Martin Connor with his solo project, which is influenced by artists like Bill Withers, Otis Reading, Bob Marley and Rag N Bone Man to name a few. Martin has been a stalwart of the UK music scene for 16 years, known for his soulful vocal delivery and for collaborating with many bands and artists. The evening will finish with soul jazz quartet Cabbage Alley, who will groove swing and skank in equal measures with an extensive set of original material and a list of back covers from the vaults of blue note, to funk incorporated and the Everly Brothers.
